INDIA – The Startup Incubation and Innovation Centre (SIIC), the technology business incubator of the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK), has joined forces with Boehringer Ingelheim to drive breakthrough innovations in health.

This news comes shortly after IIT Kanpur signed a partnership agreement with the Indian Bank to provide financial support to innovative start-ups. The collaboration will enable IIT Kanpur’s SIIC to extend critical support to emerging Indian start-ups

The signing agreement was presided over by Prof. Ankush Sharma, Professor-in-charge of Innovation and Incubation at IIT Kanpur, and Mr. Prabhat Sinha, Director of Government and Public Affairs at Boehringer Ingelheim India.

In a press release, IIT Kanpur stated: “The purpose of this collaboration is to extend support to nationally significant innovations developed at SIIC, IIT Kanpur, with a specific emphasis on healthcare solutions that leverage technology to make a positive impact on patients’ lives.”
